FOCUS

Good leader reflects actively on his or her work and tries to find different perspectives. It is important to slow down at times and think about ones strengths and learning opportunities. For an entrepreneur, being a leader often comes as a bonus (either expected or as a surprise) on top of running a business. It might be that leadership is not totally in their comfort zone. Plus when a company grows, management is once again facing new challenges and the culture of the company as a whole can change. Too many are left alone with leadership. The general idea is that it should come somehow naturally. That's nonsense!

Leadership is a skill that can be learned. To become a skilled leader you need motivation, appropriately humility and an attitude of continuous improvement. In addition, it is important that you have an outside and neutral partner with whom to mirror things and who will challenge your thinking in an appropriate way.
